Choose Colour to Complement Your Personal Brand

A picture tells a thousand words – and sells a lot of newspapers and magazines. Particularly when it is a baby photograph of Britain’s newest royal Princess Charlotte with the future king, Prince George. Coincidentally timed for publication as in Australia we have just celebrated the birthday of Queen Elizabeth II with a public holiday. Visual images attract our attention not only through photographs but other brand impressions such as packaging, logos and colour.  Have you noticed that Prince William, Prince George and Queen Elizabeth all seem to favour the colour blue. Blue according to an article by UK Vogue is the Queen’s favourite clothing colour followed by green. ..

Business Casual vs Corporate Chic

I’m loving the change of season and being able to dress up in a few winter woollies. Might even shop the sales. There’s no need for me to go overboard though as I probably only need one or two things to update my current wardrobe – particularly when it comes to work wear. The key for me is to plan it out – look at what basics I already have and what I can add to update and refresh my look. What to wear to work is worthy of consideration for most people who go out to work in a business environment.  ..

Clothes Maketh the Man

At a business seminar recently, one speaker a well-known successful businessman wore a well-tailored suit, crisp white shirt with French cuffs, expensive cufflinks and smart tie. He looked the part of a very successful businessman. The other speaker equally successful worked in the organic food industry. He also looked sharp yet wore fashionable casual linen pants and blazer. Both were well dressed and groomed to suit their respective roles and professional brand image. ..
